How do I know if my water usage is normal?
The average adult will use between 1,500 and 2,000 gallons per month. Young children and teenagers may average 2,000 to 2,500 gallons per month (lots of showers and /or laundry). Keep in mind that visiting guests, frequent car washing, power washing equipment, pool filling, or hand watering, or other unusual circumstances will vary water usage from month to month.
Where can I find how much water I have used on my bill?
You will find a Consumption column to the right of your meter reads for each code (e.g., WAT, SEW, IRR). The Amount column reflects consumption charges, plus the base fee for each commodity.
Who do I contact if I think there is a discrepancy on my bill?
Call the District Office at (386) 445-9045 for any questions relating to your bill. One of our Administrative staff members will be glad to assist you.
When is my meter read each month?
Meters are read starting approximately the 7th or 8th day of the month. Staff reviews the meter readings, verifies any unusual readings before submitting the information to our billing department for printing and mailing. Bills are printed and mailed at the end of the month.
When is my bill due?
You will notice the due date printed at the top right hand corner of your bill. Bills are usually due approximately 20th or 21st of each month.
Where can I pay my bill?
If you wish to mail your payment, an envelope is provided with each statement for your convenience. Payments may also be dropped off at the Hammock Dunes Toll Bridge to any of our toll attendants. Our mail is picked up daily at the bridge office. You may also stop by the Dunes CDD Water Treatment Facility office at 101 Jungle Hut Road to make payments during normal business hours, Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm and Fridays 8:00am to 4:00pm.
What form of payment is acceptable?
Personal checks, money orders, bank checks, certified checks or cash are acceptable forms of payment. We do not accept credit card payments at this time. However, we do offer our Automatic Draft Program were your bills are automatically deducted from your checking or savings each month. To learn more about our Automatic Draft Program, go to the General Information section of this website or call the Utility Office during business hours, Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm and Fridays 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Can I pay my Availability Fees in Advance?
Yes you can. You may pay up to one year in advance. If the property is sold, any credit balance remaining will be refunded after closing.
